TIFFANY & CO CALATRAVA BY CONCORD | AS 1746/47 | 14KT YG

A classic gold dress watch with a connection to the Big Apple.  This Tiffany & Co. calatrava is unpolished and in excellent condition.  The case measures 33.5mm excluding the crown and is crafted of solid 14t yellow gold.

This is a classically detailed 1960’s dress watch, with a radially brushed silver dial, original gold dauphine hands and applied gold hour indexes.  The “TIFFANY & CO” logo as well minute indices are printed in black.

The watch was made by Concord in the 1960’s for Tiffany & Co. and is powered by an AS 1746/47 Concord signed movement in excellent condition.  The engraving on the case back reads “Arthur H. Essman, The Bowery Savings Bank, 25th Anniversary, 1967”.  It’s likely this watch originated from Tiffany’s flagship Fifth Avenue location, as the bank operated throughout Manhattan and the boroughs from 1834 until it was swallowed up by mergers in the early 90’s.  Interestingly the company constructed a new building for its headquarters in the early 1920’s at 110 E 42nd St.  Known today as the Cipriani building, this very building was the site of Patek Philippe’s 2017 Grande Exhibition.

This Tiffany & Co. Calatrava will be delivered on a modern leather strap with gold plated buckle.
