ROGERS (BOVET) CHRONOGRAPH | CHROME

-

This excellently preserved Rogers chronograph is in great funtional condition and features a sharp chrome case. Made by Bovet Freres & CO. S.A. and branded ‘ROGERS’, it was produced sometime in the 1940’s.

Bovet manufactured chronographs in various sizes and configurations and is known for the distinctive vertical subdial orientation seen here. The 34mm case, oversized crown and round pump pushers are original to the watch and are in outstanding cosmetic and functional condition.

The unrestored vertically brushed silver dial creates a nice texture in contrast with the concentric patterned subdials. The blue tachymeter scale coupled with the original blued hands add a pleasant pop of color.  The aesthetics have been remarkable well preserved for its age, hinted at by the deep cream lume still present within the hour markers.

Powered by a Venus 170 hand winding chronograph movement, it shares DNA with the likes of Heuer and Brietling.

This watch comes on a black leather strap with stainless steel buckle.
