WITTNAUER SUPER COMPRESSOR DIVER REF 8007 | C11KAS | STEEL

This is a watch we’re betting has stories to tell.  Cased in steel and measuring 36mm excluding original signed cross hatched crowns, this 1960’s Wittnauer Super Compressor 8007 is in honest, vintage condition and is 100% factory original. The case, made by Ervin Piquerez S.A. (EPSA) remains unpolished with small scratches and signs of use throughout.  This special design utilized increasing pressures experienced at depth to tighten and better seal the watch.  Wittnauer, Longines, Enicar and Universal Geneve among others all distributed EPSA cased super compressors in the 1960’s.

The original Wittnauer C11KAS 17 jewel automatic movement is running well and keeping excellent time.  Both crosshatched crowns are signed and original to the watch.

The dial and inner bezel are original, factory finished and in very good condition, with white printing and lume aged a vintage cream.  Original hour, minute and second hands present.  Some lume loss from minute hand as seen in photos.  The original crystal with date magnifier tops the watch.

Delivered on a Swiss Tropic rubber diving strap with stainless steel buckle.

As with all of our watches due to their sensitive nature, this watch should be treated as though not water resistant, even if marked as being so.
