LONGINES ULTRA-CHRON JUMBO 37mm | 1969 | CAL 431 | STEEL

This 1969 Longines Ultra-Chron is cased in stainless steel and is in excellent cosmetic and functional condition.  It measures a large 37mm not including the original signed crown.  The steel case is sharp, unpolished and shows minor signs of wear.  The etched Ultra-Chron caseback medallion is sharp and clean.

Longines’ Ultra-Chron line is characterized by the smooth sweep of the center second hand.  This particular example is powered by a caliber 431 that Longines introduced to mark their 135th anniversary, beating at 36,000 vibrations per hour and keeping excellent time.

The original, factory finish “cross-hair” dial is silver with a radial brush pattern, applied square peaked indices, “LONGINES”, “Automatic”, and ” ULTRA-CHRON” printed in black.  Silver applied Longines winged hourglass logo and Ultra-Chron logo with a highly polished broad inner bezel and silver baton hands.  Date window framed in silver at 3 o’clock.  A dynamic dial with polished facets that shine nicely in direct light.

This watch comes delivered on a black leather strap with stainless steel buckle.
