An elegant gents Girard-Perregaux wrist watch in steel, circa 1970s.  As cases shifted toward larger sizes into the 1970s watch companies began to experiment with more esoteric case designs.  This particular watch blends a large (and surprisingly thin) 38mm cushion shaped case with a round dial, much like the popular Universal Geneve Ferrovie dello Stato, and results in a simple yet stylish presence on the wrist.  The case displays moderate wear throughout but no major blemishes.  The factory original glossy white lacquered dial and contrasting oversized black arabic numerals offer the wearer extreme legibility which is further aided by the black baton style hands.  All remain in immaculate condition displaying no aging or blemishes.  The dial is signed “GIRARD-PERREGAUX, SWISS MADE”

Powering the watch is a hand winding Girard-Perregaux signed movement in excellent condition.  The watch is winding, running well and keeping good time.
