A classic gents Longines reference 7135 hand-winding wrist watch in steel, circa 1955. The watch features an attractive two-tone format popularized in the 1950s, its stainless steel case contrasted pleasantly with a bi-tonal dial and rose gold hour markers and hands. The 36mm case is extremely well preserved with satin brushed case sides and polished lug tops, and includes the original signed crown. The dial has developed an even spotted patina throughout, and features applied machined hour markers as well as black printed chevrons marking the minutes. The original rose gold alpha hands are present, with subsidiary seconds marking cadence. Signed “LONGINES” with applied winged hourglass logo.
Powering the watch is an attractive Longines caliber 12.68Z. The movement is in excellent condition featuring 17 jewels and beautiful gold chatons. Winding, running well and keeping time.
