An attractive gents Longines wrist watch in stainless steel, circa 1949. The 36mm snap back steel case remains wholly unpolished and in very good condition with gorgeous scalloped lugs. Original silver dial in honest condition aged to a light champagne with applied indexes in gold. Original gold alpha style hour and minute hands and subsidiary seconds. Signed “Longines”.
Powering the watch is a hand-winding Longines caliber 12.68Z with 17 jewels. The watch is overall clean, winding and running well and keeping time.
