A scarce and attractive large sized Mido Multifort Luxe mens wrist watch from the 1940’s.  34mm unpolished steel case with screw down case back made by François Borgel.  Case displays minor wear and remains unpolished in overall very good condition with no major defects.  The original metallic copper dial displays an attractive Art-Deco theme, with radium filled bars marking the cardinal hours and slender black printed bars marking the ancillary.  Minutes marked by an outer ring of machined dots.  Moderate crazing to original crystal.  The dial remains in very good original condition and has developed a light, even patina.  Original blued steel syringe-style hands and center sweep seconds aged to a deep violet.  Signed “MIDO”, “MULTIFORT LUXE”, “SUPER-AUTOMATIC”, “MADE IN SWITZERLAND”.

The Mido bumper automatic is in overall good condition featuring 17 jewels and 3x adjustments.  The movement is winding, running well and keeping time.
