A gents Mido MultiFort with attractive copper dial and rose gold bezel, circa 1940’s. Steel case made by Francois Borgel measuring 33mm excluding the original domed crown. Screw down case back. Rose gold bezel. Polished lug tops, brushed case sides. Factory original copper dial with radium luminous filled Arabic hour markers and white painted minute track graduated to 1/5 seconds. Good condition overall with even aging throughout. Blued baton hour and minute hands with luminous plackets. Center sweep seconds with small luminous filled diamond. Signed “MIDO”, “MULTIFORT”, “SUPER_AUTOMATIC”, “MADE IN SWITZERLAND”.
Exceptionally clean Mido caliber 1017 bumper automatic with 17 jewels adjusted to 3 positions. The movement is winding, running well and keeping time.
