A gents Longines “tre tacche” stainless steel wrist watch with rare original gloss black gilt dial.  This watch was invoiced in 1940 to Zora, who was Longines official agent in Bulgaria at the time.  It has been noted that many black dialed Longines of this era were earmarked for eastern Europe. An interesting piece with stories to tell, one cant help but imagine the history it might have witnessed.

This watch is in good overall condition with age appropriate wear throughout.  The case is stainless steel and measures 32mm in diameter excluding the replacement crown.  Signature three-notch “tre tacche” case back.  Factory original gloss black dial with even spotted patina.  Logo, outer minute track, and deco numerals all in silver gilt.  Silver baton style hands with lume.  Subsidiary seconds.  Fixed lug bars characteristic of watches intended for military service at the time.

Original Longines caliber 23M with 17 jewels, running well and keeping time.

Delivered on a modern NATO strap.  Contemporary bamboo style Bonklip bracelet (pictured) included.
