An attractive and very scarce spec large Omega “Naiad” gents wrist watch, circa 1939.  The Naiad was launched in 1937 as Omega’s first standard water resistant model and was rated to 20M.  Most Omega Naiad watches were produced in the smaller sizes favored by contemporary wearers.  This particular watch distinguishes itself with an uncharacteristically large 35mm screw back steel case that remains in overall honest condition displaying moderate wear.  The watch features a screw down case back and retains its original unsigned crown, with matching numbers on both the case back and rear of the lugs.  The factory original two-tone dial has developed a creamy tropical patina and features Art Deco/Bauhaus style numerals and an outer 1/5 second track.  Another distinguishing feature is the seldom seen factory original blued steel Pontife hour hand complimenting the baton style minute hands and center sweep seconds.

Original Omega 30SCT2 movement with 16 jewels.  Balance bridge with shock protection from a more modern 30mm series movement.  Winding, running well and keeping time.
