THE STORY

Being one of the many obscure, now defunct Swiss watch brands, odds are you’ve never heard of Sabina, and for good reason.  Not much can be found on the brand other than the fact that Sabina was a trading brand of the Swiss watchmaking company Paul Virgile Mathez established in 1919. Nevertheless, the Sabina watches that do pop up from time to time speak for themselves with quality construction and striking designs.  Check out our oversized 1930’s Sabina mono pusher chronograph and its intricate sector dial here.

THE WATCH

An exceptional oversized gents Sabina reverse panda chronograph from the late 1960’s.  Vintage charm in a modern and wearable 39mm size.  The solid steel case has been lightly polished with all bevels sharp and intact.  Bi directional rotating bezel.  The original factory finished black dial is in beautiful condition for it’s age with large white dished “reverse panda” sub registers and pale mint colored luminous compound.  Original silver hands with arrow minute hand designed for maximum legibility under water.  

The hand winding Valjoux 7730 chronograph movement is clean and running well with all functions operating smoothly.  

We’ve paired this gents Sabina reverse panda chronograph with a modern 20mm stainless steel mesh bracelet.
