An exceptional Omega Constellation chronometer case number 14766 in steel. 100% original and correct example from crown to crystal, dial, case and movement. 34.5mm steel case retains its factory polish and sharp bevels and is in exceptional condition aside from a small gouge in the upper right lug. Signed crown is correct and original to the watch. A sock drawer queen that didn’t see much wrist time and stayed well clear of the polishing wheel.
Standard features include lyre-shaped lugs, silver crosshair “pie-pan” dial with applied indices, applied logo, “OMEGA” Constellation star and silver dauphine hands. The printing on this dial correctly omits the “OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED” designation that became standard on later models.
The silver pie pan dial with black printed cross hairs has developed an evenly distributed pinpoint spotting pattern.
Omega Caliber 551 automatic chronometer with 24 jewels is clean, original to the watch, running well and keeping time.
