A rare steel Girard-Perregaux Deep Diver reference 8867 with original signed steel bracelet. One of only 1,400 produced in the mid to late 1960’s making the 8867 Deep Diver more scarce than the original JLC Polaris.
No cosmetic restoration work has been performed on the watch. All finishes are original. The 39mm stainless steel case is unpolished and has been exceptionally preserved. Original acrylic bezel in excellent condition. Factory original black dial with creamy original lume and art deco stylized markers also in excellent condition. Minor scratches present on original crystal. Screw down case back bears inscription “Wm McFarland”.
Original Girard-Perregaux Gyromatic movement, 17 jewels, serial number 328568. Movement is freshly serviced, running and keeping time.
