Omega launched its popular Seamaster 30 line of time only watches in 1962. The timepieces were characterized by their simple, elegant designs and water resistant cases. This Omega Seamaster 30 135.003 left Bienne in 1962. The original steel case is full and thick, retains its original bevels and measures 35mm excluding signed original crown. Correct chemical etched hippocampus medallion is crisp and defined. Sadly there are gouges in the caseback due to careless opening in the past.
The silver factory original dial is in near mint condition, with some of the lume dots beginning to flake. Gold applied Omega logo a 12. Hours are indicated by applied gold baton indices and arabic numerals, with original gold hour, minute and center sweep seconds. Signed “OMEGA”, “SEAMASTER”, “30”, “SWISS MADE”.
Inside the watch is an Omega 286 in excellent condition, with 17 jewels. This hand winding movement is exceedingly clean, running well and keeping time.
The watch is delivered on a vintage leather strap with steel buckle.
