A fine and rare gents Audemars Piguet dress watch in yellow gold, circa 1961. Solid 18kt yellow gold screw back case measuring 35mm excluding crown and featuring a high polish finish. Original vertically brushed silver dial with applied gold hour markers. Gold baton hands with center sweep seconds. Signed “AUDEMARS, PIGUET”, “GENEVE”, “AUTOMATIC”, “SWISS”.
Inside is an Audemars Piguet K2071 auto winding movement, considered one of the finest automatic movements of the time and designed to compete directly with the Patek caliber 12-600 and caliber 27-460. It features 29 jewels and is adjusted to 4 positions and temperatures. The movement is in excellent condition, running well and keeping time.
Delivered on a modern leather strap with gold plated buckle. In addition every Stetz & Co. timepiece includes a 7 day inspection period and is covered by a full 30 day mechanical warranty.
