An uncommon gents Movado dress watch with mirror finish “deluxe” engine turned dial, circa 1950’s. Unpolished snap back steel case in excellent condition, measuring 34.5mm excluding the original unsigned bell-shaped crown. The Deluxe model was a premium offering from Movado and featured an engine-turned dial typically crafted of solid precious metal. The dial seen here features a bright, mirror like finish with applied hour markers and subsidiary seconds. Light oxidation to the lacquer finish in the upper right, as well as even spotting to the silver dauphine hour and minute hands. Signed “MOVADO”, “AUTOMATIC”, “SWISS”.
In-house Movado caliber 115 bumper automatic with 17 jewels. The movement displays light cosmetic wear but is winding and running well and keeping time.
Delivered on a modern grey strap with vintage steel buckle. In addition every Stetz & Co. timepiece includes a 7 day inspection period and is covered by a full 30 day mechanical warranty.
