A well preserved Lemania military “TG 195” wrist watch with special hack seconds feature.  Much of the background story of the TG 195 is still shrouded in mystery.  We do know the watches were used by both the Swedish and British military.  The TG 195 utilized Lemania’s caliber 2225, which allowed wearers to more easily synchronize the time by way of a special hack feature actuated by the pusher at 2 o’clock.  Depressing the pusher would stop the movement, return the seconds hand to 12 o’clock and extend the crown to set position.

This particular example remains in overall excellent condition.  The 40mm asymmetric case is unpolished and free of major wear.  We believe this to be an earlier example by the omission of the “TG 195” script on the dial, the un-engraved case back and the use of radium luminous.  Interestingly, the leather strap seems to have been created around the fixed lug bars and bears a blind stamp of the Swedish Tre Kronor.

The glossy black dial is factory original and remains in excellent condition with original pumpkin orange luminous intact.  The original hands remain and like many military watches have been relumed at some point.  Heavy screw down steel case back with anti-magnetic dust cover.  The original Lemania caliber 2225 is in excellent condition, winding, running well and keeping time.
