A fine and rare gents Vacheron Constantin rectangular wrist watch in rose gold, circa 1950’s.  Audemars Piguet and Vacheron Constantin had a close relationship during the mid 20th century.  The origins of this design can be traced back to offerings from Audemars Pigeut during the 1930’s and were produced in small numbers until the 1950’s.  Despite the low production, many different configurations were produced by AP and VC.  The brushed rose gold case measures 25mm excluding the crown and 33mm lug to lug.  Factory original light gold dial with rose gold applied pyramids and arabic numerals marking the cardinal hours.  Rose gold baton hour and minute hands with subsidiary seconds.  Signed: “VACHERON & CONSTANTIN”, “GENEVE”.
