An attractive gents Omega reference 2639 wrist watch in steel with scarce silver foil dial, circa 1950. 35.5mm stainless steel screw back case with sloped, downturned lugs in excellent condition. Signed crown. Satin silver dial with stylized hour indexes in mirrored silver foil. Outer black printed minute track. Dial displays some aging and a blemish above the top right of the subsidiary seconds register. Signed “OMEGA”. Silver leaf style hands and subsidiary seconds.
Hand-winding Omega caliber 265 with 15 jewels in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition. The movement is winding, running well and keeping time.
