An attractive and scarce oversize gents Longines wrist watch, circa 1947. Uncommon stainless steel case with oversized crab claw lugs and snap on back. The case is in excellent condition measuring 36.5mm excluding crown. Silver dial with Bauhaus style Arabic hour markers printed in black. Black printed logo and outer minute track. Baton style hour and minute hands, subsidiary seconds. Signed, “LONGINES“.
Powering the watch is a hand-winding Longines caliber 12.68Z in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition. The movement has been recently serviced, is winding, running well and keeping time.
