We’re pleased to offer this fine and rare gents Audemars Piguet wrist watch with unique platinum case, circa 1945, a time when each watch Audemars Piguet produced was a completely unique creation. The heavy, cushion shaped platinum case remains in excellent unpolished condition, measuring 28.5mm wide by 35.5mm lug to lug and has a 20mm lug width. An identical watch is pictured in Brunner’s Audemars Piguet: Masterpieces of Classical Watchmaking.  The case features a brushed top and sides with polished lug bands that run the length of the watch. Â
Time is indicated via a Stern made satin silver dial with champlevé enameled long form signature and applied rose gold indexes. Some aging visible to the corners. Original rose gold baton style hands. Signed “AUDEMARS, PIGUET & Co.”, “GENEVE”.
Audemars Piguet caliber 9/10 RS with Côtes de Genève and black polished embellishments, adjusted to 8 positions with 18 jewels. The movement is in very good condition and is winding, running well and keeping good time. Â
Delivered on a modern leather strap with steel buckle.
