1940’S MIDO MULTIFORT EXTRA, GILT DIAL, 34MM, STEEL

An attractive gents Mido Multifort Extra wristwatch in steel, circa 1940s.  Unpolished 34mm screw-back case made by François Borgel with signature mushroom crown.  Case displays minor wear and is in overall very good condition.  Original bronze dial with gilt signature and white painted outer minute track.  Radium filled arabic hour markers.  Original silver syringe hour and minute hands.  Center sweep seconds.  Signed “MIDO”, MULTFORT”, “EXTRA”, “SUPER-AUTOMATIC”, “MADE IN SWITZERLAND”.

Powering the watch is a robust Mido bumper automatic with 17 jewels.  The watch is winding, running well and keeping time.
