A fine and very rare oversized gents Audemars Piguet reference 3123BA retailed by Zürich based jeweler Türler in 1961. Includes vintage burgundy leather Audemars Piguet box. Solid 18kt yellow gold case measuring 36mm excluding the slightly inset original crown. Elongated lugs and stepped case sides. Near mint factory original vertically brushed gold dial with applied pointed bars and center sweep seconds. Signed “AUDEMARS PIGUET”, “AUTOMATIC”, “TURLER”, “SWISS”. Original hour, minute and second hands.
Inside is an Audemars Piguet K2071 auto winding movement, considered one of the finest automatic movements of the time and designed to compete directly with the Patek caliber 12-600 and caliber 27-460. It features 29 jewels, The movement is in excellent condition, running well and keeping time.
Delivered on a modern leather strap and gold plated buckle.
