1926 Audemars Piguet Tank, Articulated Lugs, 18kt WG [ON HOLD]

A highly rare and very fine Audemars Piguet “tank” watch in 18kt white gold with articulated lugs, crafted in 1926 and acquired from the estate of the original owner. One of only three examples to appear on the market in the last 30 years and possibly the only one of the three with a factory original, unmolested dial. The frosted silver dial features applied white gold Breguet numerals, a champleve enamel outer minute track, and cathedral hands with moderate peripheral vignetting .

Powered by an Audemars Piguet calibre 9FSG 15/12 with 17 jewels, adjusted to temperature and two positions, freshly serviced, running well and keeping time.

Delivered on a modern leather strap with steel buckle.
